Sowing the seeds of excellence; Honouring the dignity of all, Feeling Empowered.
Welcome to Rabbits Class - Year 4 and 5.
In Year 4 and 5 we study a variety of different topics, including Lincolnshire compared to the rest of the world, Earth and Space and Ancient Greeks. This year, we have experienced a fantastic trip to Lincoln Cathedral and had a visit from the Planetarium to enhance our learning about Space and our Solar System.
In a normal week, PE days are Monday and Friday. However, we do ask the children to bring their PE kits in on a Monday and take them home on a Friday just in case there are unplanned changes in the week.
Maths homework is sent out on a Friday and should be submitted by the following Friday. Weekly spellings are also handed out on a Friday and tested the following Friday.
Children are expected to read at home at least three times a week. This can be with an adult or independently and should be recorded in the reading journal. We encourage children to read a wide variety of texts: Online books can also be downloaded for free using their school Pickatale account.
A normal day in Rabbits class consists of Comprehension, Maths, Spelling and English every day, with a selection of non-core subjects through the week: PE, Science, RE, Music, French, Computing, History, Geography and PSHE.
