Safeguarding including online Safety

At Stallingborough we fully recognise our responsibilities in terms of safeguarding.  This includes Child Protection and ensuring the safety and well being of all children within our care.  This is not only part of our established Christian ethos but a duty of care we all have.

Safeguarding encompasses a suite of policies which are regularly reviewed and updated through a process which involves governors, staff and pupils.  The current Safeguarding policies are available through the link below to our "policies" page.  We have also provided a link on each page to the local safeguarding children's board.  Many are in process of being reviewed during the Spring Term of 2015.  As we review and update we take opportunities to ensure the children know how they are supported and what to do if they have concerns.

Staff and governors receive regular training and updates in all relevant areas and safeguarding is a key element of the staff recruitment process.

All volunteers and students in school are informed about safeguarding and confidentiality arrangements and are now shown our Child Protection summary sheet which they asked to sign on their first visit.

We are always working on ways to heighten pupil awareness of e-safety and how we can make more links and information available on our website which would be of help to parents and families.  We have recently added some information on "Share Aware" which the NSPCC has produced which includes "Top Tips" for parents on talking to your child about keeping themselves safe online.
